To hold the door in place, move it towards the spring-loaded plastic guiding peg to the end stop. The peg then springs back and triggers the mechanism. Kicking down the guiding peg releases the door.
Grout the box at the desired arresting point into the floor, which should be the furthest possible distance from the door hinge. After the grouting material has hardened, screw the previously removed cover plate back on.
